what is Double Chin Liposuction

A double chin is not only a matter of weight or age. Fat under the chin and a weakened platysma muscle can both blur the jawline, and from middle age onwards removing fat alone is often not enough. WOOA combines double chin liposuction with muscle tightening (submentoplasty): AccuSculpt first breaks down the fine remaining fat layers and stimulates collagen, then a fine cannula removes superficial fat and the loosened platysma is tightened, giving a defined jaw and neck with a lasting V-line.

how the procedure works
Working through a small incision of usually less than 1cm hidden beneath the chin, the surgeon removes fat in two steps: first the subcutaneous fat, then the fat lying beneath the platysma muscle, so hidden fat is not left behind. Performing liposuction and submentoplasty together allows a slimmer jawline than conventional double chin liposuction. Fat volume and muscle tension are adjusted to your own jaw structure, so the result stays natural rather than overcorrected.
recovery & aftercare
Most patients go back to their normal routine within 3 to 5 days. Bruising and swelling fade over 1 to 2 weeks, while the jawline continues to refine and settle over 4 to 6 weeks. The small incision under the chin typically fades until it is barely visible. Fat removed from the area rarely returns and the tightened muscle gives firm support, so results are long-lasting, though ageing or weight changes can bring subtle changes over time. To prevent adhesions, avoid opening the mouth very wide or exaggerated expressions for four weeks, and avoid alcohol and smoking for two months after surgery.
