Nipple Reduction & Correction
WOOA Plastic Surgery is in HM Tower, 492 Gangnam-daero, Gangnam-gu, a short walk from Sinnonhyeon and Gangnam Stations, and welcomes patients from around the world.
Nipple and areola correction at WOOA reshapes nipples that are inverted, too prominent, enlarged or uneven so they sit in natural balance with the breast. The procedure looks beyond appearance to function and hygiene, aiming to preserve the milk ducts and sensation while turning a long-held concern into confidence.

What Is Nipple Reduction & Correction?
Why Choose WOOA?
Drawing on extensive breast surgery experience, WOOA considers bone structure, breast and nipple size and breast position together to find the ideal balance. Damage to nerves and blood vessels is kept to a minimum and the lactiferous ducts are preserved, so both appearance and function are protected. Fine incisions and scar care from WOOA Dermatology reduce worries about marks.
Which Procedure Is Right for You?
Nipple reduction adjusts height and width when the nipple is large for the areola, for example after breastfeeding or when it causes chafing. Inverted nipple correction raises a retracted or flat nipple to a natural height. Areola reduction narrows an areola that has widened with pregnancy, ageing or breast growth. Accessory breast correction removes extra glandular tissue in the armpit.
Recovery and Aftercare
Keep dressings, bandages and tape in place until treatment is complete, and apply ointment so the wound does not dry out. Keep water off the area until the stitches are removed, and avoid saunas or baths for around five weeks. Some temporary numbness can occur but usually improves over time.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
This surgery may suit you if you have long been self-conscious about nipple shape, find breastfeeding difficult because of inverted nipples, feel your nipples or areolas are too large for your breasts, or want to remove axillary (armpit) breast tissue.
FAQs
Will I Still Be Able to Breastfeed?
Preserving the milk ducts is a key aim, so most patients can still breastfeed after surgery. For more severe inversion the technique may differ, so a personal consultation is recommended.
Will There Be Noticeable Scars?
Incisions follow the natural curve of the nipple, leaving only very fine scars that fade and become barely visible over time.
